High-performance four-channel digital oscilloscope

Keywords Data analysis, Nicolet, Oscilloscope

The new Integra 60 from Nicolet Technologies is a four-channel digital oscilloscope and transient recorder which combines a colour display, high-speed signal acquisition, and extensive real-time data-analysis capabilities.

The Integra 60 uses high-performance 8-bit digitisers to give a sample rate of 100MS/s (megasamples per second), along with 5GS/s equivalent real-time sampling and a bandwidth of 200MHz. Optional expansion capabilities allow the memory length to be extended up to 200k samples per channel.

Real-time data analysis means that the Integra 60 can perform a wide range of the most popular parametric calculations, including risetime, falltime, frequency, period, duty cycle, pulse width, overshoot, undershoot, peak-to-peak, area, RSM, voltage and time.

Versatile acquisition modes include multi-shot for quick storage and recall of past sweeps, autocycle for automatic capture and storage of waveforms to disk, averaging to capture and average a number of sweeps, and persistence to simulate a long-persistence phosphor CRT.

An optional waveform analysis package allows complex operations, such as FFTs (Fast Fourier Transforms), integration, differentiation, histograms, trend waveforms and filtering, to be carried out at very high speeds. Custom sequences can be created for complete "in the box" automatic test routines, and results can be displayed in engineering units.

Other features include an internal 3.5-inch DOS-compatible floppy disk drive and an optional hard disk drive for permanent storage of waveforms and set-ups, plus an optional internal thermal plotter. The Integra 60 features "one touch" hard-copy output to laser or colour inkjet printers, and the instrument is fully programmable via IEEE-488.2 and RS-423 interfaces.
