A newly released CD-ROM from MCS Limited provides designers with the opportunity to take a multimedia tour of the company's ANVIL Express mechanical engineering design software (Plate 23). The product offers full CADD through CAM integration of drafting, surfaces, solids, parametrics, NC programming, tool-path verification, rendering and animation.
The pedigree of the ANVIL product range is a strong feature of this demonstration. MCS has been providing innovative, computer-aided design and manufacturing solutions for over a quarter of a century and the CD-ROM includes testimony from many customers who rely on ANVIL software.

To run the CD-ROM tour, the user requires a Microsoft Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0 Pentium-based computer with 4 × CD-ROM drive, sound card and speakers, a minimum display setting of 1,024 × 768 and 256 colours.
