Thermal array recorder with universal inputs

Keywords Nicolet, Recorder

The Gould TA-10 thermal array recorder is now available exclusively in the UK from Nicolet Technologies (Plate 8).

The new recorder incorporates universal measurement inputs for measuring multiple inputs of DC voltage, RMS voltage, current and temperature. It can be configured with four or eight universal measurement channels, together with four or eight event channels.

The TA10 avoids delays during recording by displaying signals as they occur on a large integral LCD monitor. Signals can be viewed on the monitor while they are still under the array head, and signal-conditioner set-ups and calibration can be performed with the monitor instead of wasting chart paper.

Internal memory is one megasample length for the four-channel version and four megasamples for the eight-channel unit. In addition, the TA10 has its own PC-compatible 3.5-inch disk drive to store set-ups and captured data.

Hard copy recording is on 270mm or 10.5-inch wide paper. Maximum sampling rate is 50kHz with 14-bit resolution, and the instrument incorporates high-performance post-acquisition mathematics functions for processing measurement results.

It is believed that the versatility and high performance of the TA10 make this recorder suitable for a wide range of applications in the laboratory, in the plant, or in the field.
