New data-acquisition software is available for the Yokogawa DC100 Data Collector, which can be configured for portable or system-installed applications (Plate 18).
The new software is free of charge, and can be downloaded from Yokogawa's Web Site, accessible through Martron Instruments at http://www.martron.co.uk.

The DC100 Data Collector is a compact, lightweight data-acquisition system that may be configured with up to 300 channels. Application-specific signal conditioning is available for temperature, pulse, strain and power measurements.
The system may be equipped with a wide range of output and communications modules, including alarm contact outputs and RS232 and GPIB interfaces.
A large internal memory (up to 4 Mbyte) is used to store the measurement results, which may be automatically downloaded to floppy disk. If the disks are regularly replaced, the system can be run for an indefinite period of time.
The new software enables waveforms to be studied and digital data to be displayed in a variety of presentational forms.
