Full Lotus Manufacturing Inc. introduces its new steerable nose wheel amphib kit for Full Lotus floats models FL 1220 and FL 1260.

Full Lotus informs us that its new steerable nose gear amphib kits have finished the testing process and are ready to fly into production. The prototype aircraft shown in Plate 5 is a Beaver RX550 equipped with a Rotax 582 engine. The floats are model FL 1260 equipped with the SACS upgrade (step anti-compression system). With the help and cooperation of the aircraft's owner, Fred Glasbergen of Airflow Ultralight Aviation Ltd of Ft Langley, British Columbia, Canada (PH: 604-596-7452), the testing process on land, in the air, and in the water, has reportedly passed with the highest grade.

The new system claims: positive steering dual nose wheels; fully retractable nose and main gear wheels with winding mechanism; outstanding ground handling; engineered for durability and strength; and full visibility while taxiing.
