Local students are benefiting from an aircraft maintenance company's donation of a specialist tool kit to the aero-engineering department of Bedford College.

The tool kit, worth £600, was presented in recognition of the College's training partnership with FLS Aerospace Ltd. Bedford College delivers the NVQ underpinning knowledge for the Stansted Airport based company's Modern Apprentices (Plate 10).

Employee development officer for FLS Aerospace Ltd, Sue Lloyd, said: "The donation of the tool kit will greatly assist all future aircraft engineering students in the selection of good quality tooling which will eventually become their life blood."
