FLS Aerospace and easyJet have signed a ground-breaking contract for total aircraft support. The support is estimated to be worth £77 million over seven years. The contract will see FLS Aerospace providing a turnkey aircraft maintenance and component support service for the total easyJet operation.
Centred at London-Luton Airport the FLS Aerospace-easyJet engineering operation is to be seamlessly integrated with the easyJet flight operations department, and will extend to cover the whole of easyJet's growing route network. A light maintenance hangar will be built at Luton airport by easyJet; this brand-new facility will be fully managed and manned by FLS Aerospace staff. The Boeing 737 fleet operated by easyJet will receive heavy maintenance services from FLS Aerospace at its Stansted Airport base. easyJet's other hub at Liverpool will also be managed by FLS Aerospace, as will the growing list of easyJet line stations.
