Lobema and Teknikbrostiftelsen acquired Image Systems AB from Saab Combitech through a jointly owned company. Image Systems is a leader in motion analysis based on its digital image processing system, TrackEye. The system is used by the automotive and aircraft industries, as well as by military testing sites. Customers include Chrysler, Ford, Boeing, Fiat and the Swedish Defence Material Administration. Recently, the company signed a contract with DGA for equipping French military testing sites with the TrackEye system. The initial order value is SEK 8 million, with options worth a further SEK 6-8 million.

"Teknikbrostiftelsen seeks to promote spin-off from major companies and universities which can lead to the formation of new, strong and promising high-tech companies. This is such an acquisition", says Katerina Segerborg, President of Teknikbrostiftelsen.

In a comment, Lars-Olof Bäckman, President and principal owner of Lobema AB, states: "Image Systems has built up world-leading know-how in its area over many years. Contributing our unique skills to the company's development on a worldwide basis is an exciting challenge with major potential and we want to take part in this as active investors".
