The Impact Peening division of USF Surface Preparation Group company, Impact Finishers, has introduced a fast-response 24-hour service for the AOG (Aircraft On Ground) peening of aeroengine and aircraft structural components, for fatigue life enhancement.
The company, which has facilities in Slough and Coventry, is a leading aerospace and automotive shot peening and surface finishing subcontractor, and introduced the new service in response to requests from existing customers and as part of its ongoing expansion programme. The company has also recently upgraded its transport support package to provide rapid nationwide collection and delivery of parts.
Added to this, new state-of-the-art programmable shot peening systems have been installed at both the company's sites during the past year. These meet all the latest operating standards and specifications, including those of all major aeroengine manufacturers and airlines and the defence industry.
