Druid wins Baan contract with Weston Aerospace

Management consultancy Druid has won a contract with Weston Aerospace, manufacturer of sensors and components for the aerospace sector. Druid will work with Weston Aerospace to implement a Baan enterprise resource planning (ERP) IT system which will replace the company's legacy systems for financial, manufacturing, purchasing and sales and inventory management functions. The project is due to go live in August 1999.
Phase one of the project at Weston Aerospace will begin at its sites in Farnborough and Enfield. A team of Druid consultants and internal Weston Aerospace personnel will implement Baan ERP software while at the same time re-aligning the company's core business processes. Phase two of the project will address business process optimisation through the implementation of product data management (PDM), electronic data interchange (EDI) and the workflow enablement of key activities using the Baan software.
