Techspace Aero, Herstal, Belgium, has recently delivered to Snecma, France, the 10,000th Lubrication Unit intended for the CFM56 engines marketed by CFM International, a 50/50 Joint Venture founded 25 years ago by the French engine manufacturer Snecma and its American counterpart General Electric. These engines equip a vast range of commercial transport aircraft from Airbus and Boeing.

In the world of aeronautics, a series of 1,000 is considered as a success. To reach a figure ten times greater is an even more resounding success. This demonstrates the outstanding achievements of the CFM56 engine selected by more than 200 airlines throughout the world.

For Techspace Aero, such a success shows that the Belgian company made the fight choice by signing at the start of the program in 1972 a risk sharing partnership agreement with Snecma. The Lubrication Unit is also the first piece of equipment designed, developed and manufactured entirely at Techspace Aero. It has enabled Techspace Aero to position itself in this specific niche, and to develop, in that sphere of activity, a range of equipment whose the quality is recognized worldwide. Continuous research and development, funded by its own capital base, ensures that Techspace Aero customers are supplied with increasing high performance and reliable products.
