SCRIA Annual Partnership Award
SCRIA Annual Partnership Award
Keywords: SCRIA, Awards, AF Aerospace, King & Fowler
The UK aerospace industry has recognised two companies, AF Aerospace and treatment house King & Fowler Ltd, for their demonstration of best-practice partnerships within the supply chain.
The two companies were presented with the SCRIA Annual Partnership Award at the annual SCRIA Conference. Two other partnerships, one between GKN Westland Helicopters and Rolls-Royce Turbomeca, and the other between British Aerospace and GEC Marconi Avionics, were awarded joint runners up.
Contenders for the SCRIA Partnership Awards must be able to demonstrate effective partnering, by showing that they are using best practice techniques and producing a tangible improvement in results. SCRIA - Supply Chain Relationships In Aerospace - is the industry programme designed to improve supply chain performance by UK aerospace manufacturers. To date, successes include 60 per cent reductions in lead-time and cost savings of 60 per cent.
