FLS Aerospace Limited has entered into a contract with one of the world's largest aircraft leasing companies, GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS). The contract is for the performance of heavy maintenance services on the substantial and worldwide fleet of aircraft owned or managed by GECAS.

The annually renewable contract is a general term agreement (GTA). It covers all aircraft types that FLS Aerospace Limited holds heavy maintenance approvals for. The contract presently covers the FLS Aerospace facilities at Stansted and Manchester, and over the next few months it is likely to include the other facilities and respective companies within the FLS Aerospace group.

FLS Aerospace also informs that it has concluded two new landmark agreements with Air 2000. It will be the sole supplier of Component Support for Air 2000's entire Boeing 757 fleet and two new additions to the Air 2000 Boeing 767 fleet.

The first contract, a flying hour agreement, is valued at over £35m, and covers total component support for over six years of Air 2000's fleet of 13 Boeing 757 aircraft. Under the contract FLS Aerospace will purchase Air 2000's existing component stocks and provide consignment stocks at Air 2000's operating sites. Also covered is Air 2000's sister company Royal Airlines, whose fleet of three B757s is based in Canada. The second contract, estimated to be worth £4.5 million, also over six years, provides rotable component support of two Boeing 767 aircraft. This contract began on 1 March 1999 with one aircraft, the second aircraft joining the fleet on 1 March 2000.
