Wood Group Gas Turbines, an independent gas turbine repair and overhaul company, has broadened its services to the world aviation industry by opening a new, world-class facility aimed at increasing global service to the airline operator.

A 43,000sq.ft purpose built facility for Wood Group Fuel Systems Inc., which specialises in the repair and overhaul of gas turbine fuel systems, was officially opened by Mark Fulmer, manager of Engine Certification at the FAA, at its prime location in East Windsor, Connecticut, close to Bradley International Airport. This more than doubles existing capacity of Fuel Systems and brings the total investment by Wood Group Gas Turbines in expanding its aviation services to more than $8million in the last three years.
