Howmet Corporation (NYSE: HWM) (www.howmet.co) informs us that it has changed the name of its aluminium casting operations. Howmet Cercast (USA), Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Howmet Corporation, with facilities in Bethlehem, PA, City of Industry, CA, and Hillsboro, TX, will be renamed Howmet Aluminium Casting, Inc.
Howmet Cercast (Canada), Inc., also a subsidiary of Howmet Corporation, with facilities in Montreal, Quebec, and Georgetown,'Ontario, has been renamed Howmet Aluminium Casting Ltd.
CIRAL, the sixth aluminium casting operation owned by Howmet Corporation, is located in Evron, France. Its name has been changed to Howmet CIRAL, s.n.c.
"The objectives of the name changes are to make it easier for customers, investors, employees, and other constituents, to recognise our many and widely dispersed operating units. Also, making the Howmet name more prominent strengthens our worldwide identity, and, at the same time, simplifies and streamlines communications", says David L. Squier, Howmet's CEO.
