ST-ORM distribution contract with CASA
Keywords Computer simulation, EASI engineering, Software
EASI Engineering Inc., Warren-Michigan, reports the recent signing of an agreement with CASA Space Division, Madrid, Spain, under which EASI Engineering will distribute ST-ORM.
EASI Engineering will distribute ST-ORM in North America and in Northern and Central Europe (including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the UK, Benelux and Scandinavia). The company states that it was selected as exclusive distributor because of its many years of international experience in computer simulations and software distribution. ST-ORM is a software tool for performing stochastic analyses of simulation models of generic physical systems. It is a complement to existing mechanical simulation programs. It enables the engineer or scientist to efficiently define, set-up and execute stochastic problems in a meta-computing environment.
ST-ORM is based on the software known as PROMENVIR, which was developed by an international consortium in the framework of the ESPRIT project, funded by the European Commission. Compared to its predecessor, ST-ORM, claims significantly enhanced functionalities, e.g. an optimisation toot has been added. The name ST-ORM is an acronym for Stochastic Optimisation and Robustness Management.
