Surface finishing and impact treatment subcontractor, USF Impact Finishers, has published a new 12-page colour brochure detailing its specialist shot peening expertise.

The brochure explains how the latest USF Impact Finishers' programmable shot peening technology can substantially enhance the fatigue life of critical components, and describes the different operating techniques used to apply the process, which is used widely in the aviation and automotive industries. Methods of monitoring and measuring the effect of shot peening are also covered in detail.

Impact Finishers has provided quality subcontract shot peening and surface finishing services to industry for more than 30 years and provides the highest level of technical support and quality assurance. From its beginnings in the UK, with established subcontract facilities in Slough and Coventry, the company has recently expanded and opened new locations in the USA, Germany and France, in conjunction with sister companies within the USF Surface Preparation Group.

All shot peening and allied processes are applied in line with the latest international civil and defence industry approvals and certifications, and the company can provide on-site "boutique" facilities which can substantially reduce operating costs for customers with a regular throughput of shot peening work.
