RAS (Regional Aviation Services) has been appointed by AJ Walter Aviation to represent its aircraft component supply and repair services across Germany and Austria, in particular to its operators of MD80, B737, DashS and A310 aircraft. This appointment strengthens AJ Walter's European presence and complements the Company's subsidiary offices in Italy, Spain and France.

RAS was set up by Marlene Moch less than six months ago, after 30 years in engine component repair for regional aircraft. The business is developing well in this established and conservative market owing to her in-depth knowledge and understanding of the changing market needs.

AJ Walter also informs us that Aero-Craft Hydraulics Inc., the Californian based repair and overhaul specialists, have appointed it to represent their services and consigned $1 million of hydraulic units which are located at AJ Walter's world headquarters in London.

Aero-Craft Hydraulics Inc. has been established since 1937 – they are hydraulic specialists experienced in aircraft and aerospace systems and components. They provide a two-year warranty on pumps and a one-year warranty on all other equipment, with parts drawn from their comprehensive stock from Vickers, Abex, NYAB and Sundstrand.

Their technical support department monitors performance trends and advises customers on how to prolong the serviceability of their components. Workshop turnaround times are within 30 days; this includes thorough testing to ensure that each repair and overhaul meets stringent quality controls.
