Following on from the success of the first edition, the British Fluid Power Association announces the launch of its revised fluid power CD aimed at students and users.

Once again, the CD has been compiled by the BFPA Publicity Committee under the auspices of its chairman, Paul Newnham of Denison Hydraulics UK Ltd.

There is a wealth of information on the CD including 16 separate presentations by member companies; a comprehensive range of hydraulic and pneumatic symbols; basic guidance on hydraulic and pneumatic control supplied by the country's leading manufacturers; a "conversions" facility; engineering data; education and training including tests for students; interactive training presentations; publications; clipart; BFPA and BFPDA member companies and their products and much more.

The CD is excellent value for money. All member companies of both BFPA and its sister organisation, BFPDA, receive a free copy and subsequent copies are just £10.00 each. The price for non-members is £20.00 plus VAT (£3.50).

The BFPA Publicity Committee is made up of delegates from member companies keen to promote fluid power to students and in this connection, the CD has been issued free of charge to over 260 universities, colleges and schools across the UK embracing 6,500 students with an involvement in fluid power.

The Association also announce that new editions of the BFPA and BFPDA directories are now available.

The 144 page 2000-2001 edition of BFPA's Fluid Power Equipment and Membership Directory provides comprehensive information on the company profiles of over 75 of the leading suppliers in the UK of pneumatic and hydraulic components, as well as general information about the industry, BFPA and BFPDA.

Aimed at potential users and purchasers of fluid power equipment, copies of the guide are frequently distributed to major customers, consultants, every UK commercial consulate overseas, libraries, Business Link offices and government agencies.

The BFPDA Buyers Guide & Members Directory lists all the distributor member companies, the manufacturers and suppliers they represent, the services offered and company profile. Yet again, the Directory has increased in size since the last edition and includes a useful trade name guide.
