Messier-Bugatti, a subsidiary of the Snecma Group, reports that it has now posted all service bulletins published since January 1, 1998 on its corporate Web site (www.messierbugatti.com). This year, it will post all documents concerning Airbus, Boeing and ATR equipment designed and serviced by the enterprise: wheels and brakes, hydraulic systems and braking control systems.
This is thought to be a first for an aircraft equipment supplier operating in these markets, and is, above all, a value-added service offered to the 145 airlines that as customers have placed their trust in Messier-Bugatti.
The service bulletins contain concise technical information (two to 20 pages) concerning modifications or new maintenance recommendations for equipment. Posting them on the Messier-Bugatti Web site gives airline technicians direct, real-time access to the latest information on equipment. It eliminates delays in the reception of service bulletins, which will also continue to be sent via mail, to comply with standards and legal obligations.
Messier-Bugatti's online information services are described as advanced. The enterprise is now said to be in a position to post its entire technical archive (CMM: documents averaging 120 pages) as soon as data rates match required capacity.
