Dual role labels – incorporating tamper evidence and company branding – are thought to be playing a key role in helping maintain the integrity of equipment components repaired by Air Transport Avionics Ltd. The newly introduced, high quality Duropaque screen-printed labels are manufactured by Sessions of York.

A spokesperson for Air Transport Avionics Ltd says: "We were using an old type of label but recently decided that a more up-to-date image was needed. The tamper evident function is highly important to our business. As a leading company in round-the-clock repair and overhaul of vital avionics equipment, we need a means of assuring our customers of the integrity of all repaired components. Any unauthorised label tampering immediately defaces the label and this automatically voids our warranty.

"In addition to its important tamper-evident function, the Sessions label also provides us with a good opportunity to increase our visibility and presence in the market place".

The 30mm x 30mm labels are produced using Sessions' Duropaque printing process, with a strong reflex blue on a tough silver backing material. The labels are supplied on easy-to-handle reels, designed to allow trouble-free manual application to repaired equipment.

Sessions' self-adhesive Duropaque labels are described as tough, easy to apply and durable. The Duropaque printing process reportedly allows high quality, multi-colour designs to be printed on a wide range of substrates including metallic foils, polyesters and vinyls.
