June 2000 saw the FPR system officially put into service by the Tactical Leadership Program in Belgium (Plate 9).

This system provides a debriefing facility which is operated in the TLP main theatre. All flight crews were said to be extremely impressed by the new dimension of common debriefing, offering three 10ft x 8ft screens displaying the missions in a 3D image. The FPR system has proven to be very reliable (99 per cent), increasing the efficiency and training value considerably.

The FPR system is now in full service with the German Air Force, and Italy will receive 58 pods plus ten ground stations in 2001 including the new data link and eight real time tracking and positioning (RTTPs). Other NATO countries will follow soon to benefit from this system that has been flight accepted on all NATO fighter aircraft.

The German/Israeli co-production programme for the joint and interoperable AACMI system was led by BGT (Bodenseewerk Gerätetechnik GmbH).
