TI Group's Dowty reports that it has won contracts worth $40 million to supply landing gear, brake and thrust reverser actuation systems for use on a wide range of aircraft in the fast growing regional and business jet market.

In a contract worth $20 million over the next ten years, on currently forecast aircraft sales, Dowty is to supply Messier-Dowty – the landing gear manufacturer owned by Snecma of France – with actuators for use on Raytheon's new Hawker Horizon and on Bombardier's Regional Jet, Challenger CL604 and Continental Jet aircraft.

Additionally, Cessna has selected Dowty to design and manufacture the main and nose landing, gear actuators and the speed brake actuator for its new Cessna Sovereign aircraft. The new contract is worth more than $15 million over the next ten years, on forecast sales of the aircraft.

It is also reported that NORDAM Group of Tulsa, USA, has selected Dowty to design and manufacture the actuation system for its new engine thrust reverser for use in the business jet market. This preferred supplier agreement, worth more than $5m over the next ten years, strengthens Dowty's position in thrust reverser actuation systems.
