BT46 simulator for the German antitank helicopter PAH-1 AI

Saab Training Systems in Huskvarne, Sweden, reports on a contract from the German Federal Office of Defense Technology and Procurement (BWB) for the development of a simulator for the antitank helicopter PAH-1 Al with the HOT missile system.
The project plans were very tight, which meant delivery of a prototype system for tests and qualification in April/May 2001. Series deliveries are planned for 2002-2003.
This simulator is another component of the German AGDUS training concept for which Saab Training Systems has supplied BT46 simulators for Leopard Main Battle Tanks, the Marder and Wiesel Armoured Carrier, as well as the antitank weapons Milan and Panzerfaust 3.
