Enerpac reports that it has introduced a new universal catalogue for its hydraulic clamping systems (Plate 12). This E-211e workholding reference guide is a user-friendly one-stop reference work, which greatly simplifies the specification and selection of products. This guide, which is classified into more than 30 product categories, features the capacity and specification of thousands of Enerpac clamping products. Enerpac considers that this information has been combined with a wealth of background information. This makes the guide useful not only for the choice of the appropriate components, but also for the design, installation, application, modification and maintenance of hydraulic clamping systems, a number of novel features also thought to make the E-211e workholding reference guide an outstanding document for defining new systems.

Plate 12 The new Enerpac catalogue

The 200-page full-colour catalogue has been prepared from the standpoint of designers and is up to now the most extensive document of its type. It contains a wealth of information on appropriate product choice, strategies and safety tips. A CD-ROM with 2- and 3-D CAD drawings of the various Enerpac clamping products accompanies the handbook. These drawings may also be downloaded from the Enerpac Website. The guide is published in ten languages, making it a global reference system for all conceivable solutions. It is the result of three years' effort on the part of an international team of Enerpac engineers and communications staff.

The E-211e workholding reference guide is described as unusually user-friendly. Despite the inclusion of more than 30 product categories, such as pumps, valves, cylinders and system components, these product categories are easy to select via the main index. A reference listing is then available of general functions for each product category. The selection process can then be further refined to extend to functions required, assembly options and/or capacity. Special selection tables for each product category simplify this process. After the product required has been found users can then consult the associated technical specifications.
