It is reported that Jean-Paul Roux has been appointed as general manager, Northern Europe, for e-manufacturing software specialist Tecnomatix Technologies. In this demanding role, Mr Roux will lead Tecnomatix' sales and support teams in the UK and Sweden. His specific goal will be to build up sales of the eMPower suite of manufacturing software products and to achieve a 30 per cent annual growth in sales revenue, contributing to the overall profitability of the entire enterprise, which is a NASDAQ quoted company.
Jean-Paul informs us that he will split his time between Tecnomatix' UK offices in Sutton Coldfield and Preston, which employ 23 staff, and the company's Swedish office in Göthenburg, which employs a smaller group of people. He will manage these two operations as a single unit comprising a sales team, a technical team and a financial and administrative team. Each country has its own local sales manager and marketing staff. Technical pre- and post-sales activities and consulting are run by a UK engineering manager, and the company's financial and administrative teams are also managed from the UK.
