ETA Circuit Breakers reports that it has introduced a new combined switch/circuit breaker which has been designed especially for aircraft simulators (Plate 1). According to ETA it features an extremely fast magnetic trip time, it has exactly the same "feel" and look as the company's operational flight-deck products, but avoids the need for large activation currents within the simulator.
The ETA 9510-G Simulator Switch is described as a combined switch and single-pole circuit breaker, with a standard push/pull activator which matches all ETA's aircraft-style circuit breakers in front-of-panel appearance and in the forces necessary to operate it. Operating at a standard voltage of 28V, the tripping current needed is less than 200mA with a tripping time of less than 25ms.

The 9510-G claims an aircraft-style thread neck mounting and a white trip indicator ring. It simulates the action of the ETA 483, 583 and 4120 which are used extensively to populate flight decks. Dummy current ratings, between 0.5A and 35A, are indicated by adhesive labels on the push button. Versions are available with blade, screw or wire-wrap terminals, while a logic indicator is optional.
