New partners for FR Aviation in France

New partners for FR Aviation in France

Keywords: Aviation Defense Service, FR Aviations, EADS, DCI

The French shareholding in FR Aviation's joint venture company, Aviation Defense Service (AVdef) has been sold jointly to the European Aeronautics Defence and Space Company (EADS) and to the French Government-owned company, DCI.

AVdef provides air defence training services to the French Navy and French Air Force, in addition to a range of commercial services within France, Europe, and North America.

This new partnership between EADS5, DCI and FRA is a highly significant move for the three companies, since it brings together the influence and strength of both EADS and DCI and FRA's world-class capabilities in special mission air operations.

The three companies intend not only to develop AVdef in France, but also to establish co-operative opportunities throughout Europe and elsewhere. This relationship is believed to be highly complementary and should develop into a successful new partnership.
