Saab Aviocomp has signed a three-year contract extension with Aerolitoral regarding component maintenance for airline company's Saab 340 fleet. The operations with this aircraft type have expanded very rapidly. The maintenance contract now comprises 15 aircraft but Aerolitoral intends to expand the fleet to 25 Saab 340s within a few years.
The contract has been based on a fixed price per flying hour. In connection with contract extension, the service concept has been further adapted to Aerolitoral's requirements. The programme includes the repair and overhaul of all component systems such as pneumatics, avionics, hydraulics, undercarriages and propellers. In addition, certain logistics services are included.
