The success of Barden's first two UK bearing seminars, with upwards of 30 engineers attending on each occasion, resulted in an expansion of the programme to include an additional 2-day seminar; "Precision Bearing Design and Integration"..
In Barden's opinion the event was an ideal learning forum for engineers in sectors such as aerospace, automotive, machine tools and other areas of precision engineering. Attendance was free, and Barden covered the cost of hotel accommodation, meals and activities during the seminar.
The success of the seminars was due in no small measure to the nature of the subject matter, which dealt with the latest in precision rolling bearing technology and translates that technology firmly into the context of the latest engineering designs.
