Derco Aerospace, Inc., Milwaukee, Wisconsin. USA, has secured a one-year, $8.5 million contract with the Venezuelan Air Force to provide logistical support for six C-130Hs..
The logistical support contract calls for Derco to provide spare parts, repair services and maintenance kits for the aircraft. The spares include ground support equipment, consumables, major components from original equipment manufacturers (including Honeywell, Parker Hannifin, Hamilton Sundstrand, Rolls-Royce and Tecstar), special equipment for engines, propeller parts, and hydraulic, propeller and avionics test equipment. Derco will provide repair services for engine, electrical and pneumatic components.
The Venezuelan Air Force also will utilize kits customised by Derco to maintain major components as part of its 10,000-hour fleet maintenance program.
