UK low cost airline, easyJet has chosen FLS Aerospace to provide total maintenance support for their new fleet of B737-700s, in addition to their existing B737-300 fleet. The contract, will run for 10 years and is valued at approximately US$400m.
Under this contract, FLS Aerospace will provide PMO support including heavy & light maintenance, line maintenance, component management, component repair and technical services. At present, easyJet have 8 B737-700s with expansion plans to grow to a 44 aircraft fleet by 2004. As new aircraft join the fleet, they will be included under this new contract.
FLS Aerospace is currently contracted to provide total support for easyJet's 18 B737- 300 fleet. The existing B737-300 aircraft will be rolled into the new 10 year contract, effectively extending the B737-300 support for a further 6 years.
