Bridgeport Machines has a new man at the controls newly-appointed managing director, Stuart Wilkins, a finance and management professional, bringing to the company an impressive track record achieved at Dowty Group, the supplier of products and services to the aerospace and defence markets.
Stuart Wilkins joined Dowty in 1984 to become the youngest financial director within the group at the age of 29.
He progressed as managing director from one group subsidiary company to another, successively improving business performance in terms of profitability, efficiency, growth and the introduction of best practice in all areas of management. More recently he was managing director of a division comprising five group subsidiary companies.
Stuart will be responsible for all the company's operations outside North America, comprising the manufacuring plants at Leicester, UK, Kempten, Germany, plus two sales and service subsidiary companies in Holland and Weiterstadt, Germany.
