Senior Aerospace BWT, the South Manchester based, UK air distribution and insulations systems company, has been awarded a prestigious contract to supply the new Airbus A380 Superjumbo. The programme, which begins with immediate effect, involves design, development and manufacture of the low pressure ducting system for the cockpit of the aircraft scheduled to take its maiden flight in November 2004.
Senior Aerospace BWT, views this, their first design and integration programme with Airbus, as a significant milestone in the company's growth. The project management, design and development will be undertaken at their new, purpose-built manufacturing plant at Adlington Park Industrial Estate, which is due for completion in April 2002. A project team will be on site with Airbus in Toulouse and manufacturing will be split between BWT's new plant and a sister, Senior Group company based in Wichita, USA.
