HKS and Elysium announce technology licensing agreement
Hibbitt, Karlsson & Sorensen, Inc. (HKS), makers of the ABAQUS suite of software for advanced mechanical simulation, has announced an agreement with Elysium Inc., developers of CADporter data translation software. HKS will integrate, license and market Elysium technology for the direct, seamless exchange of CAD geometry into ABAQUS/CAE, the interactive environment for creating, running and evaluating results from ABAQUS analyses.
This agreement will reportedly extend the capabilities of ABAQUS/CAE to enable native geometry import from major CAD products including CATIA, I-DEAS, Pro/ENGINEER, and Parasolid-based systems such as Unigraphics and SolidWorks.
