MK Technologies of Worsley, Greater Manchester, UK considers that it is fast emerging as a major company in aerospace coatings removal technology.
Collaboration with the American originators of plastic media, favoured by USA military and aerospace, is believed to have given the company a major advantage over its competitors and helped it gain BAE Systems accreditation.
The USA’s Solidstrip Plastic Abrasives – originators of the plastic media – has appointed MK Technologies as sole European distributor. The company now stocks an extensive range of the media, available for delivery to customers around the UK and the Continent from its Worsley premises.
The BAE Systems accreditation comes after an intensive audit. MK Technologies, a member of the North West Aerospace Alliance, was awarded a 3 years service and supply authority. This authorises the company to carry out surface coatings removal work on aircraft, clean aircraft manufacturing tools and supply approved media and chemical solutions for use in surface coatings removal, to BAE Systems worldwide.
