Easyjet sign new aircraft maintenance contract
Easyjet sign new aircraft maintenance contract
Following the acquisition of GO by easyJet last August FLS Aerospace, as the prime maintenance provider to both airlines, has been working with easyJet to merge both maintenance contracts. This has been possible due to the consolidation of easyJet's UK operation under a single air operators certificate (AOC).
The FLS Aerospace maintenance contract with GO was due for renewal in 2003. Under this new combined contract, which will run until 2011, FLS Aerospace will provide total maintenance support for the new combined fleet of 62 B737 aircraft. FLS Aerospace will provide PMO support including heavy and light maintenance, line maintenance, component management, component repair and technical services. The front line support will be managed through the FLSA/easyJet joint venture (easyTech) based at Luton.
