Quick Image is a new vision measuring instrument from Mitutoyo (UK) that claims a wide field of view and high efficiency measurement. It is a 2D vision measuring instrument which features a telecentric optical system. With its long depth of focus, workpieces which have components of various heights or stepped faces such as sleeves and cutting tools can be measured easily without re-focusing.
Quick Image is equipped with a mega-pixel CCD camera and with its wide field of view (29.5 mm × 22.2 mm) it can perform batch measurement quickly. Normal and high resolution modes are available as well as a variety of illumination systems. With the telecentric lens, magnification is stable and does not vary depending on the workpiece height.
A fixed stage and an x-y stage version of the Quick Image are available with the travel range of the x-y stage type 50 mm × 50 mm and 25 mm for in the z-axis. Associated QS Pak software is also provided.
