Julian Frankland has been appointed as UK sales manager of Brackley-based StarragHeckert UK following the decision by Brian Cook, after 49 years of service to the machine tool industry, to retire and relinquish his position as sales director.
Brian Cook has been a key player in the reorganisation of StarragHeckert UK as the company product range has progressed into the supply and marketing of all aspects of multiaxis milling and turning machines and component cleaning. As a result, the company has been engaged by key European suppliers to represent them in the UK together with the StarragHeckert equipment range that has an established market in the aerospace sector.
Taking over the mantel, Julian Frankland will now report directly to Managing Director Paul Maynard and take the responsibility for co-ordinating all sales actively supported by the five area sales managers and the application team of seven engineers under Nigel McLean.
