PACE Aerospace Engineering and Information Technology GmbH announces the founding of a Customer Advisory Board, on the occasion of PACEDAYS 2004.

The Berlin-based provider of knowledge-based software technology intends to forge a closer link to its international customer base. By establishing the Pacelab Customer Advisory Board, PACE creates a forum aimed at coordinating the strategy and timetable of the Pacelab platform's development in direct communication with selected customers and partners. Exceeding from industry-specific requirements with regard to technological and functional development, PACE seeks to develop Pacelab technology into the leading knowledge-based engineering (KBE) standard platform of the aviation industry and, in the long run, of other vertical markets as well.

The forum's foremost goals are to agree on priorities of technological development, which can either be based upon singular requirement analyses or requirements shared by several customers. This enables members of the Pacelab Customer Advisory Board to exert influence on product functionality and deliverable timelines. As they will share in early and comprehensive communication with regard to PACE's product strategy and planning, members will also benefit from essential leading edge information.

The Pacelab Customer Advisory Board will be comprised of existing and prospective customers, as well as industry partners selected by PACE. They will be represented by decision-makers and experts from various fields, such as information technology, knowledge-based engineering, business process re-engineering and other technology domains.

PACE intends to hold biannual meetings of the Pacelab Customer Advisory Board, each of 1 or 2 days in duration. The constituting session is scheduled to be held in Berlin in the Autumn of 2004.

PACE develops knowledge-based solutions with a special focus on the acceleration of complex engineering processes. The company has business locations in Germany and the USA. PACE collaborates closely with customers such as Airbus, AVITAS, BAE Systems, DaimlerChrysler Research, debis AirFinance, EADS Sogerma, Embraer, Fraport, GECAS, Innovint, Recaro Aircraft Seating, Rolls Royce and Swiss International Airlines.
