Saint-Gobain Abrasives has extended the Multi-Air range with the introduction of Multi-Air Plus. Using a combination of ceramic SG abrasives and premium heat-treated aluminium oxide, which reportedly provides the most aggressive yet coolest cut to date, and a water-based agent No-Fil, which resists clogging, Multi-Air Plus answers the most critical of industrial demands.

Patented P-graded abrasives from P80 to P400 reportedly ensure Multi- Air Plus achieves a consistent and uniform scratch pattern even at higher rates whilst its fibre-reinforced B-weight latex-saturated backing achieves a 50- 60 per cent improvement in tear strength.

Saint Gobain's No-Fil coating prevents clogging by accelerating dust extraction away from the area being worked. No Fil also provides maximum load resistance that is said to extend the product's life up to twice that of conventional designs.

Additionally, the innovative design of Multi-Air Plus further improves dust extraction via 181 ventilation holes which allow for dust to be collected into a central chamber. The result is cooler cutting, a smoother finish, a lower dirt count, fewer airborne particles and, therefore, an improved working environment.

The Multi-AirTM range is a premium product line claiming outstanding results for the most demanding sanding applications in primed and painted parts, lacquers, ceramic coatings, epoxy coatings, wood (hard and soft), metals (aluminium, steel etc.), composites and marine gel. It is recommended for aerospace body assembly and repair
