Ontic Engineering and Manufacturing, Inc., producer of OEM-licensed components and accessories, has added several Radar Systems to the group of products they support under license from Honeywell.
The APS-133, RDR-1E, and RDR-1F high performance weather detection and avoidance, terrain mapping, and beacon homing radars are installed on a number of military and commercial aircraft platforms, including: C-17, C-130, KC-130, C-141, P-3, C-5A/B, E-3, E- 4, E-6, E-8, KC-10, DC-8, DC-9, B- 707, B-727, B-737, B-747, and L1011.
The news was released by Robert Sadler, Ontic's director of Marketing & Licensor Relations, who stated: “Ontic's support of complex electronics has grown dramatically in recent years. With this Radar license agreement, Ontic is now technically poised and ready to extend our service to all Avionics Electronics OEMs through licensing”
The Radar product lines will be supported at Ontic's manufacturing facility in Chatsworth. The transition of the product lines from Honeywell's Redmond, Wash., facility is to begin immediately.
