Akzo Nobel Aerospace Coatings (ANAC) has doubled the size of its colour blending facility at Sassenheim in The Netherlands to help meet the demands of an expanding market. Work on the Aerospace Colour Centre (ACC) project began in March 2006.

The ACC was first commissioned in 2001 for small batch production and colour blending of topcoats. “There has been a visible recovery in the aerospace coatings market since 2003, and on top of that we are supplying new customers almost daily. Orders are growing year on year by 10-15 per cent,” explained Hans Peter van Wilsem, ACC Plant Manager. “This expansion will ensure that we can cope with the ever increasing demand in the most efficient and cost effective way. Excellent service to our customers has been one of the keys to our success and we aim to continue to provide the highest levels of service in the industry.”

ANAC has two major manufacturing plants, Sessenheim and Waukegan in the USA.
