Easier and better balancing with new Schenck CABs

Schenck has announced the latest additions to its range of CAB control and measuring systems for computer-aided balancing. The new CAB 900 series is said to combine advanced instrumentation with simplicity of use to deliver the most accurate results from simple balancing tasks to complex production processes.

The flexible CAB 920 works with universal horizontal or vertical machines for any individual or small series production balancing applications. The CAB 925 has been designed specifically for rotor balancing in the aircraft industry while the CAB 950 – with integrated Siemens-Soft programmable control software and network capability – is ideal for semi and fully automatic large- scale production environments. The CAB 950 provides all the functions for production balancing, including optimum compensation calculation, precise compensation control and statistical process control.

All CAB units feature a convenient touchscreen monitor allowing the user to control all functions and communicate with the balancing machine with just their index finger. Clear and unambiguous dialogue, logical input masks and menu structures based on real work sequences, avoid input mistakes and misinterpretations.

Schenck's easyMode and individually assigned function keys make the CAB systems easy to control and the clear vector and numerical displays show the exact location and size of the unbalance at a glance. And with the log book function, the calibration data, measurement sequence and balance results for each rotor can be recorded and stored in a central database along with other information including logo and photograph of the rotor.

The CAB 900 units are thought to be ideal for updating existing horizontal or vertical measuring machines from Schenk or other manufacturers.
