Firth Rixson has announced that it has signed a long-term agreement with GE Aviation to supply seamless-ring forgings for the GEnx engine. Under the terms of the agreement, Firth Rixson will provide rings for a five- year period beginning in 2009.
Firth Rixson produces seamless- rolled rings for aerospace applications at four facilities in the USA, one in the UK, and at a new facility in China.Firth Rixson Limited (www.firthrixson.com) was formed in 2003 from a merger of UK-based Firth Rixson and US-based Forged Metals, Inc.
