Emergency lighting power system

Emergency lighting power system

A power supply for cabin emergency lighting systems was recently unveiled by STG Aerospace at both the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg and the MRO Conference and Exhibition in Atlanta, Georgia.

Wireless emergency primary power system (WEPPS) brings together for the first time a range of proven technologies that deliver cost, maintenance and reliability benefits while also increasing aircraft safety.

STG's power pack technology has integrated BITE, reportedly requires no scheduled maintenance and a lifespan extended years beyond that of conventional batteries.

WEPPS also features a status monitoring system that wirelessly interrogates the battery modules, control circuitry and emergency lighting systems in seconds.

The system is said to be simple, quick to install and imminently due FAA certification for a wide range of commercial aircraft.
