Low-profile PL strip to brighten up galleys

A new low-profile variant of STG's SafTGlo ColorMatch has been launched to improve the galley environment. The new design, just 2.5mm thick, sits flush with galley flooring unlike all its competitors, is tough enough to withstand the wear and tear of the galley environment and requires no maintenance.

The new product, named SafTGlo ColorMatch LP, is also expected to win orders for airlines installing non-textile floorcoverings elsewhere in the aircraft.

ColorMatch LP brings all the benefits claimed of SafTGlo zero maintenance and zero power consumption in an even smaller and lighter package, weighing in at only 45g/m. And thanks to its design it can be easily sealed to the floorcovering in which it is installed.

The first customer for ColorMatch LP is Air Tahiti Nui, which exclusively operates one of the youngest fleets of Airbus A340-300 aircraft in the world.

ColorMatch LP is based on STG's highly successful SafTGlo SuperSeal(tm) design. Because of patented design advantages, it is lighter with a significantly brighter performance and greater endurance than any competing product. Investment in digital spectral technology ensures ColorMatch LP gives customers flexibility in interior design. With 18 different colours already approved, this allows customers to create a cabin environment in which SafTGlo blends with the decor while at the same time delivering world-leading emergency floorpath marking performance with 100 percent dependability.
