Innovative milling inserts

Innovative milling inserts Vargus Tooling UK has announced a trio of developments that enhance its Innotool milling cutter portfolio – not least the fact that that the application of TiALN coating on to IN1030 inserts, resulting in the new grade, IN2030, has created inserts reported to be able to perform at increased cutting data of up to 25 per cent, while also successfully undertaking dry machining applications (Figure 5).

The new insert grade is currently being offered on a one-plus-one promotion – purchasers of 20 inserts and a cutter can choose another cutter from a popular selection, free of charge.

A major company in innovative milling insert geometry, carbide grades and cutter design, Innotool has also produced a new main catalogue and technical information handbook containing a wealth of information, including application data for all insert styles, grades and cutters, as well as a comprehensive materials database.

Innotool is one of a number of brands from Vargus Tooling UK, the Telford- based service orientated distributor of quality tooling for turning, milling, drilling, threading and grooving applications, as well as spindle nose tooling and hand deburring tools.
