Huntingdon Fusion Techniques guide
Article Type: News and views From: Aircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology: An International Journal, Volume 81, Issue 3
After many years of manufacture and many installations Huntingdon Fusion Techniques Limited has produced an informative and comprehensive sheet to assist users of Welding Chambers and Argweld Flexible Welding Enclosures.
Included in the guide are important requirements and advice for successful oxide and porous free welding.
Argweld Flexible Welding Enclosures (Figure 1), are designed to be used for applications where a rigid chamber may not be economically viable or where space is at a premium.
Such flexible welding enclosures have proved very popular for the welding of titanium and nickel alloy components, particularly in the aerospace, medical and racing car industries.
The enclosures are lightweight and easy to move and store, available as circular enclosures or rectangular versions in sizes starting from 900 mm (diameter or length) up to 1,800 mm.
Time and cost saving with flexible enclosures is so large that they can pay for themselves in just one or two welds.
The handy guide is supplemented with training notes, user instructions and a frequently asked questions sheet all available as files to be emailed upon request.
