A Seminar on Chinese Information Processing in Libraries was held at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology on 22-23 January, 1998. The Department of Library and Information Science of Zhongshan (Sun Yat-Sen) University in Guangzhou, in collaboration with the Chinese Society of Library and Information Science Education (Taiwan) will jointly hold the Mainland and Taiwan 4th Academic Conference on Library and Information Science: Library Automation and Networking on 30 March1 April 1998 at Zhongshan University. The language of the conference is Chinese.
A Symposium on Library and Information Services jointly organised by Lingnan College (Hong Kong) and the Department of Library and Information Science of Zhongshan University will be held at Lingnan College on 17-18 June 1998. The Symposium will feature topics in the areas of regional cooperation, resource sharing and data standardisation. The language of the conference is principally Chinese.
